Kansai International Airport Transport

By Bus

Arrivals. Buses stand by the International Departures floor of the Passenger Terminal building (4th floor).

Departures. Bus stops are outside the International Arrivals floor of the Passenger Terminal (1st floor center) where you can buy tickets from ticket vending machines.

Buses go to Osaka City Center, JR Osaka Station (60 min), its major hotels (70 min) for 1,300 yen, to JR Kyoto Station (95 min), JR Sannomiya Station (75 min) in Kobe and to Osaka Airport (Itami) (80 min) for 2,300; 1,800 and 1,700 yen correspondingly.

By Train

You can reach JR Shin-Osaka Station by JR Limited Express Haruka (50 min and 2,980 yen) or JR Rapid Train (transfer once, 75 min and 1,320 yen). JR Rapid Train goes to JR Osaka Station (65 min and 1,160 yen), JR Kyoto Station (transfer once, 95 min and 1,830 yen) and JR Sannomiya Station (transfer once, 90 min and 1,660 yen) in Kobe.

Kyoto is also accessible by JR Limited Express Haruka 25 min quicker than JR Rapid Train but for almost twice the cost of 3,490 yen. Trains Limited Express Rapi:t (35 min and 1,390 yen) and Express (45 min and 890 yen) go to Nanba Station (Nankai Railway) in Osaka.

By Ferry

To get to Kobe Airport, you can change you route by taking a 30-min ferry for 1,500 yen (750 for kids). Buses for 6-8 shuttle rides are available at Bus Stop 12 outside the Passenger Terminal on the 1st floor with tickets from the High-Speed Ferry ticket counter at the northern end of the building.

Airport Shuttles (Shared Ride)

Kansai International Airport runs shared ride shuttle buses for up to 9 passengers. They pick you up and drop you off at accommodation timed with your flight.

A passenger can reserve a shuttle bus seat by credit and taxi cards. You can relax before or after your flight with the driver looking after your baggage.

You can get to Osaka and its prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Shiga and JR railroad stations in Nara, Kyoto and Wakayama. The ride lasts 20-180 min and costs 4,500-52,200 yen.
